Tori Amos
Tori Amos is a famous artist and was one of the leading female soloists during the 90s. She became known by many for her incredible skills in playing the piano. Her music also has a distinct sound, drawing inspiration from the 70s combined with alternative rock. If you’ve ever seen her perform live, her ethereal stage presence will certainly leave you in awe. At the peak of her career, she was listed at #71 of 100 Greatest Women of Rock and Roll in VH1’s.
She has had a string of hits throughout the years, but the album that brought her popularity and the most accolades would be Little Earthquakes. It is often given credit for helping Amos achieve mainstream success. Even today, she is seen as one of the most influential artists in music and she has no doubt inspired an entire generation of new musicians. Amos received five MTV VMA nominations, eight Grammy Award nominations, and won the Echo Klassik Award for her classical crossover album Hunter Night.
