When it comes to the music industry, sometimes, all it takes is one hit song to really get things moving for an artist. This was certainly the case for Jennifer Paige. She scored a major hit in the ‘90s with her song Crush, which helped her gain the mainstream success that she needed to establish herself in the industry. With 700,000 copies of it sold and a gold certification not long after, Paige certainly didn’t have to worry about home mortgages anymore.

Her self-titled release in 1998 gave us the songs Questions, Get to Me, and Just to Have You. Her guitar-driven music and soft vocals were loved by many, including Billboard magazine who noted her ability to bring refreshing intensity to any song. Her moderate hit song Stranded was even released in Europe. This single had an immediate impact on radio stations in Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, and Scandinavia. She didn’t stop there as both singles became hits in Asia.
