Jann Arden

During the 80s and early 90s, Jann Arden was one of the most famous singer-songwriters and actresses. Even today, her songs remain a favorite for many. This includes her signature tracks, Could I Be Your Girl and Insensitive. Her career began in 1985 after she was discovered by Neil MacGonigill. He acted as her manager and an executive producer for her earlier albums. The two shared investments from 1985 to 1998. Within that time, she worked on her albums and songs and became a renowned singer worldwide.

Arden’s critically acclaimed debut album, Time for Mercy, was released in 1993. This was followed by her single, I Would Die for You, which earned her six Alberta Recording Industry Awards. In 2018, she officially become a podcaster, after launching The Business of Life with Arlene Dickinson. In 2020, Arden was inducted by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
