Cyndi Lauper

If we’re talking innovators, we cannot leave out Cyndi Lauper. With a career spanning over 40 years, she has certainly contributed plenty to the industry. Lauper made her debut back in 1983 with the album She’s So Unusual. It gave her four top-five hits, making her the first female artist to achieve the feat. Her songs, Time After Time, Girls Just Want to Have Fun, She Bop, and All Through the Night charted on the Billboard Hot 100.

It also helped her earn the Best New Artist trophy at the 1985 Grammy Awards. Aside from her catchy songs, Lauper gained much attention for her unique style. Lauper is known for her distinctive image, her various hair colors, and quirky clothing. VH1 also ranked her at 58 in their list of the 100 Greatest Women of Rock & Roll. With her success, she made different investments in life including in various real estate properties.
