Belinda Carlisle

Belinda Carlisle became famous worldwide as the lead vocalist of the band the Go-Gos. As you might already know, the group went on to become one of the most successful in the industry. In fact, they were able to sell 8 million albums within just three years of their debut. Thanks to her popularity with the group, Carlisle was able to establish a solo career quite easily. She already had a fanbase, after all.

The venture proved to be a major turning point. As a solo artist, she had a number of radio hits, including Leave a Light On, I Get Weak, Heaven Is a Place on Earth, and Circle in the Sand. She has also won a Grammy award to her credit. In addition to music, Carlisle’s autobiography was a New York Times Best Seller and it received favorable reviews. Not much is known about what she’s doing today, but maybe an album is in the works.
