Lita Ford
Lita Ford started playing the guitar when she was only eleven years old. At sixteen, she was invited to join the all-female rock band, The Runaways. The band became immensely popular in the ’70s and later split up, so Ford was free to pursue a solo career in 1980. She then released her solo albums, Lita and Dancin’ on the Edge, which were both commercially successful.
Ford went on a 15-year hiatus then reemerged with a new album in 2009.
In 2016, she released her latest album, Time Capsule, which contained a collection of her recordings with Gene Simmons, Bruce Kulick, Dave Navarro, and Jeff Scott Soto. In 2018, she ventured into business and put investments into Lita Ford Guitars, a company that specializes in creating customs for both her fans and individual musicians. Clearly, Lita is still unstoppable when it comes to music. She might not have released any albums yet, but she is certainly enjoying her free time now.
