Patrick Dempsey enjoyed a vibrant career during the 80s and a revival of it thanks to his role as Dr. Derek Shepherd in Grey’s Anatomy. While it’s not known to many, Dempsey already had early success as an actor and he even starred in a slew of romantic comedy films, including Loverboy, Can’t Buy Me Love, Sweet Home Alabama, Enchanted, Made of Honor, and more. Following his departure from Grey’s Anatomy, the 54-year-old actor focused on his investments in TV production. Outside acting, he enjoys auto racing and has a vintage car and sports car collection. He regularly participates in racing events, such as the Rolex 24 at Daytona, and 24 Hours of Le Man. Indeed, he has been devoting himself full time to motorsports and has become pretty popular among racing fans. Way to go, Mr. Dempsey!
