Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox began her career as part of The Tourists band and while she enjoyed moderate success with them, it wasn’t until the Eurythmics did she gain international fame. She was born on December 25, 1954; a Scottish songwriter, singer, philanthropist, and political activist. Lennox appeared in the 1983 music video — for what would be their worldwide hit — Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This), and completely caught everyone’s eye.
From her bright orange hair to her sleek business suit, she showed a strong image and gave off electricity at the beginning. In 1992, she debuted as a solo artist and received much success thanks to her album, Diva. This was followed by her second studio album, Medusa, which gave us her most memorable tracks, including No More I Love You and A Whiter Shade of Pale. She won the reputation of “most successful female British artist in UK music history”.
