Celine Dion
Celine Dion is an iconic singer known for her incomparable and powerful voice. The singer had humble roots and she described her childhood as being quite poor, financially. Though they may have needed loans to get by, it didn’t stop Dion from chasing her dream. Fortunately, her hard work eventually paid off. As one of the best singers at the time, she made several investments for her family.
She first gained international recognition after winning the 1982 Yamaha World Popular Song Festival. Dion also won the 1988 Eurovision contest—it was one of her many achievements before hitting it big with her debut album. Since then she has sold over 200 million records worldwide, topping multiple charts with her music. Who can ever forget her haunting performance of the Titanic theme song, My Heart Will Go On? Billboard named her the “Queen of Adult Contemporary” because she is the female with the most songs being played on the radio at the time.
