Debbie Gibson

Debbie Gibson is an American singer-songwriter, actress, and record producer. She was born on August 31, 1970, and in the span of her career, she never had to worry about gas expenses. Her single Foolish Beat made her the youngest female artist to rank in the Billboard Hot 100. You might be surprised to learn that she wrote and produced the track herself. In 1989, she followed it up with the album Electric Youth, which was eventually certified double-platinum.

In the same year, she was also given credit by ASCAP as the Songwriter of the Year. Throughout the 1990s to the early 2000s, she continued to release and record music. She was also on Broadway shows, including Grease, Les Miserables, and Beauty and the Beast. In 2017, after close to 25 years, she achieved her highest-charting hit with Girls Night Out. In addition to music and Broadway, she also starred in musicals and independent films.
