Pat Benatar

From an early age, Pat Benatar showed interest in theater and performing, so her family enrolled her in voice lessons at eight years old. She initially planned to attend the Juilliard School but studied health education at Stony Brook University instead. In the ’70s, she decided to finally pursue a singing career after being inspired by Liza Minnelli. It didn’t take long for Benatar to make a name for herself.

She gained further popularity after releasing hit songs such as Hit Me with Your Best Shot, Little Too Late, Invincible and Love Is a Battlefield. She became a four-time Grammy Award winner, with five platinum albums and two RIAA-certified multi-platinum albums. But that’s not all, because Pat also had eight consecutive Platinum albums in Canada. Today, the 68-year-old artist continues to go on music tours, which helps maintain her credit score and continues to be one of the most in-demand veteran singers.
