Chaka Khan

Dubbed as the “Queen of Funk,” Chaka Khan is credited as the first R&B artist to have had a crossover track that featured a rapper. The song I Feel for You was released in 1984. Over the span of her career, she has won ten Grammy Awards, achieved one platinum album, and sold an estimated 70 million records worldwide. She has been nominated for a solo rock singing award twice and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame four times by Rufus represented by Chafu Khan.

Khan has received much credit, but did you know she started out as the frontwoman for the band Rufus? In the late ’70s, however, she decided to pursue a solo career. At present, the 67-year-old singer still devotes her time to the music. In fact, she collaborated with Ariana Grande on the 2019 song Nobody and joined season 3 of The Masked Singer, a reality singing competition show.
