The multi-talented and multi-faceted actor Hugh Jackman has played so many varying roles but none as iconic as the character of Wolverine from the X-Men film series. Now that he’s hung up the suit and claws, Jackman’s off relaxing in his mansion in West Village. The actor bought the home back in 2008, in the midst of the economic recession, for $21 million – half of its true value! The original price tag was $40 million but due to the crisis, the then-owner had to slash down the price.

Needless to say, the property is a great addition to Jackman’s portfolio. His investment really brought him more income. The house is indeed worth every penny since it’s a masterpiece by the renowned architect Richard Meier. It has a modern style and a gigantic 11,000 square feet of living space. In case you don’t know, it is formerly owned by Sun Microsystems co-founder Bill Joy, so don’t be surprised by its classy design.
