Busy Philipps

Elizabeth Jean Philipps, better known for her stage name Busy Philipps, is an actress who initially gained fame for her appearances on Freaks and Geeks, Dawson’s Creek, and ER. She is also known for her portrayal of Laurie Keller on the ABC series Cougar Town, for which she won a Critics’ Choice Television Award.

The 41-year-old actress also works out daily, ever since she was first asked to shed some weight for a role. The actress started when she was forced to drop weight for one of her film jobs in the early 2000s. Although she was opposed to the idea, she went to celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson anyway. Peterson exposed her to high-intensity training. Phillips is well aware of the effect her relationship with her body can have on her children while also using fitness as an investment in keeping herself focused and grounded.
