Serena Williams

Serena Williams is a former world No. 1 in women’s singles tennis and an American professional tennis player. She has the most Grand Slam singles titles of any player in the Open Era and the second-most all-time behind Margaret Court. Her first interaction with the sport was when she and her father played in public courts in Los Angeles, further taking it to the professional stage in 1995, a year following her sister Venus. The siblings gained a lot of attention due to their solid serves and groundstrokes, and outstanding athleticism.

Williams is married to the entrepreneur and co-founder of Reddit, Alexis Ohanian, with whom she shares daughter, Alexis. The athlete once said that she expected to lose weight while breastfeeding her daughter Olympia, but she remained the same weight despite adopting a sugar-free, vegan diet. The 39-year-old tennis champion later jokingly said that it was “a lie” that women shrank to a huge degree when breastfeeding their kids.
