James Corden, a well-known British TV host, is famous in K-Pop circles for his strong friendship with BTS. The K-pop band and the talk show host developed a genuine connection through videos like Carpool Karaoke and Flinch with BTS, and Corden even considers Jimin as a son! He mentioned on Carpool Karaoke that Jimin was dubbed “mochi” by fans because of his charming look. Jimin calls Corden his “Papa Mochi,” and on the other hand, Corden calls Jimin his “Baby Mochi.”

In an interview with Vogue UK for a feature on the band, Corden expressed his admiration for BTS’s hard ethic. He also credits BTS’ ARMY or adoring fanbase. After the band donated a million dollars to the Black Lives Matter movement, the fandom started the “Match a Million” effort to donate $1 million to the campaign.
