Regina King frequently appeared both on screen and on TV during the ‘80s and ‘90s, and she landed her breakout role in 227. She followed this up with a stellar performance in Boyz in the Hood. You might easily put a face to her name with the movie Jerry Maguire where she actually stole the scenes there. To her credit, she does have a strong presence on camera so it is hard to miss her. Her most recent work was in If Beale Street Could Talk.

King already has several films under her belt, and if you think she is slowing down, think again. The actress is putting quite a lot of investments in a new film called The Harder They Fall. She is also the director of the much-awaited film, One Night in Miami, which was shot last year.
