Drake

Drake is one of the prominent figures in popular music, known for hyping the Toronto sound. Born Aubrey Drake Graham, the Canadian rapper, producer, actor, singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur gained an initial degree of fame after he starred on the television teen drama Degrassi: The Next Generation. As he wanted to pursue a career in music, he left the series in 2006 and released his debut mixtape, Room for Improvement, followed by a second one entitled Comeback Season the following year. After releasing So Far Gone in 2009, he signed with Young Money Entertainment, which was founded by Lil Wayne.

In 2010, Drake released his number-one US Billboard 200 debut studio album, Thank Me Later, and achieved considerable success with his second studio album, Take Care, in 2011. Two years later, he attained commercial triumph for his third album, Nothing Was The Same. Throughout his career, the rapper-actor reached the pinnacle of success in his career, winning numerous awards and accolades such as the Rap Recording of the Year, a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album, and MTV Video Music Award, to mention a few.
