Simon Helberg | Robin Williams & Nicolas Cage

Simon Helberg’s character in The Big Bang Theory might be always be getting the shorter end of the stick, but we can see that he is a great comedian. In fact, in an interview, he revealed that he had been a comedy enthusiast since he was young, and one of his celebrity idols is none other than the great Robin Williams. The late actor is, of course, known for his improvisational skills, something that other actors have admired about him.

So when Conan O’Brien asked Helberg who he liked growing up, he quickly answered Robin Williams. Then, he imitated the late actor’s “serious side” down to the deep voice. At one point, he impersonated Williams as the latter did an impersonation of Mahatma Gandhi. Fans described it as impersonation inception to some degree. In another Conan episode, he also did a Cage, leaving O’Brien impressed as he recited the alphabet.
