Kate Hudson may be born to a family of entertainers, but she has etched her name in the Hollywood scene. Born to actors Bill Hudson and Goldie Hawn, the 41-year-old actress appeared in numerous blockbusters such as Deepwater Horizon and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. The actress separated from her former husband, Chris Robinson, after six years of marriage. Hudson and the frontman for the Black Crowes decided to split in 2006. Through the help of their lawyers, they granted shared custody of their only son, Ryder.

Ryder was born in 2004, and according to reports, his name was inspired by the songs Ride and I Know You Rider. Of course, his musician dad wanted to pay homage to music through Ryder’s name. He recently turned seventeen, and according to his Instagram, he also plays the guitar like his father.
