Celebrities Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe used to be some of the famous Hollywood couples. They met back in 1997 during Reese’s 21st birthday. Ryan was at the party, and Reese came over to him and told him that he was probably her present. The two started dating after that and then got engaged within a year of being together. During their engagement, Reese got pregnant with Ava, their first child. They finally got married in 1999 when Reese was six months pregnant. The ceremony was small and joined by family and close friends. They then had Deacon, their second child, after four years.

In 2006, however, the pair decided to call it quits on their marriage. They released a joint statement to the public. In an interview, Ryan said that he gave their young age credit for their separation. He said they were too young, and they rushed into things, which is why their relationship fell apart later on.
